Deluxe Marti Report provided by the previous owner. From what I can figure, one of the previous owners had the original paint job was painted over with red, the driver's side door replaced with a 1973 Mach 1 of a similar color, and the white interior was replaced with a black interior (probably from the same 73 Mach 1). Had to confirm the VIN on the chassis itself to make sure it was a 71 Mach 1.

One thing I am wondering about, I read about 1971 Mach 1's that have standard interiors. Does the VIN code indicate standard or deluxe? Unfortunately the interior swap by one of the previous owners adds to the fun confusion. :p

Much thanks!

No, you need to see the door tag for the extra codes:

The vin only shows year, assembly plant, body code and engine code.

Ah, sorry about that. Should have said "the Marti Report I posted" rather than VIN. :p

It lists "5W" as the interior code. I wonder if that mean's the deluxe or standard. I remember in the code book it says "White w/ black, Mach 1", but wanted to make sure just in case. Thanks again! :)

Ah, after looking over a few other Marti reports online, it is a "deluxe" Mach 1 interior. Cool.

Rich, how can you tell? Don't know what mine has.
I finally cracked open the little decoder book I bought over here:

Granted I believe this one would be a lot better:

I read through some forum threads about how some 1971 Mach 1's had the standard interior. So I looked a few of them up and noticed their interior trim code being the standard interior (or all vinyl) code. My own code stated "Mach 1" by comparison, aka deluxe.

I don't have the book with me (currently @ work) and I'm no expert (a beginner if anything), but I'm guessing w/ a 1F interior, you have an all vinyl standard interior. Not a bad thing as it also looks like according to your Marti report you have an extremely rare paint/trim code (1 of 59 of that year, quite possibly the only one left of that year!). I say restore it to its original paint/trim.

1 of 59... Possibly the only one left. I never thought of it that way. Maybe I will indeed restore it back to original paint/trim. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I have most of the Ginger parts; they've just been painted black. I think the hardest piece to locate will be a Ginger console.
