My son's 72 mustang that we started restoring. He is in the US Army deployed to Afganistan.I am working on it slowly to Hot here in Alabama to do much.I hope I can have most of it finished before the end of next year when he returns home.

Very nice modifications!

That particular "shot" resemble somewhat the Australian Falcons that Ford sold over there - - I like it, especially the hood scoop.

I absolutely love resto-modded big bodied mustangs! THANKS for sharing.

Awesome. He will be so happy when he returns. You must be proud.

Please send thanks to him for his selfless service to our country. I hope you request Patriot Guard Riders to escort him home when he returns if they do that in your area.

That hood scoop on the hood was originaly on a 69 Mach1 that a friend of ours wraped around a tree in the early 70's.That was all he had left of it.He gave it to my son so he installed it .Dont look to bad on it.

Lookin good! He's gonna be happy when he gets back!

Nance, Did his car have chrome surround on the hood and sides that you have painted black? I am curious as I would like to keep my chrome bumper but really like body color trim on side mouldings and across hood. My chrome is in fair shape but thought about painting chrome or simply replacing with normal (non chrome) peices...

Thank your son for defending us in the sandbox. May God (or whatever higher power you believe in) watch over and protect him until his return...

hehehe, it would be nice to see my dad finish up my fatmanfab.com strut suspension for me with cobra brakes, and the cobra brakes in the rear for me before i get home from a place very very similar.

january baby, please come sooner!!!

I like that scoop. I had a 69 Fairlane that I put one of those scoops from a Torino in a junkyard. Mine had turn signal indicators in the back of it. I traded that car in on my Mach 1. I put the stock hood and wheels when I traded it.

It looks perfect. Best of luck to you. I know you can finish that before your son gets back. Your son will be proud of you. This will be the best gift ever for him. A Ford Mustang is really a keeper, with its cool manual gear and other distinct features.

Kind of slow right now.I am trying to finish my pole barn where I keep the mustangs. And with hunting season starting I am staying busy. Not enough hours in the day.Working 12-14 hours a day.I hope to get back to the 72 it may be another month before I can get back to working on it.

Understood, Nance. Just let us know as you start getting things rolling. When does your son return from deployment again?
