Great read. I had heard somewhere that the 351C was originally designed as a high performance 4V engine and the 2V version coming along later on in the design process. I will check my engines casting numbers tonight and see what code I have. I do know it is a 4V and has 2 bolt mains.

Hi Folks,

I stumbled on these tech sites last night and found them interesting. My apologies if they have done the rounds before, and i havn't been aware of it.

thanks I found them very informative. So much so I printed it out.

The second posting has one very important mistake. Boss 351 m code 351 & Q code 351& H code (HO) all had 4 bolt mains.

Since we are talking engines on the cold snow day. I have only seen one 289 Tunnel Port in all of my life. I go to the net on occasion trying to find one but have only recently found a guy that has the rocker arms but no heads or intake. This was Ford's first try to make a better engine for the Trans Am series and was only just a few engines for the racers then the boss 302 came in. Do any of you know where one is or have any photos. They were made for high rpm and ports were probably too big like the Cleveland is rumored to be.
