For you who may not be aware, there are a number of entities that provide free goodies to veterans on Veteran's Day.

Unfortunately, I shy away from these places on veterans day. They are usually mobbed by other vets and retirees looking for a free meal. I'd honestly pay to eat somewhere else than wait in line for over an hour just to get seated, and then wait through the slower than normal service because of the same mob. If I lived in an area that was not around a military installation, then it would likely be a good deal.
