Tie down brackets?

While searching through Ebay, I find different size and shape tie down brackets. None of these look like the ones I took off of my '73.

I'm fairly certain mine are original. Variances in years?

The large brackets were used on cars with dual exhaust

Thanks for the link, Chuck. Interesting but it guesses that the long angled were for dual exhaust for all three years the shorts for 1971 and 1972 for single exhaust and the long for 1973 single exhaust.

This is inconsistent with my 1973 Mach 1 dual exhaust. I have the long straights but the bottom bolts on each side were missing and the brackets were both bent inward perhaps from being tied down. I have no reason to believe that my brackets are not original.

In short there are actually three different kinds and I wasn't just imagining it.


After referencing my Marty report, I don't actually read dual exhaust anywhere on it. My rear valence has no cut outs. Perhaps my dual exhaust was not from the factory. I thought all Machs would have the dual exhaust.

IIRC, no cut outs for 1973. Chuck
