1973 Mustang Mach 1
1972 Mustang Mach 1 under construction
Just got my new tires and wheels mounted today. They are actually for my 72 Mach 1 that I'm working on but it will be awhile before its on the road. Thought I would mount them on the red mach to see what they look like.IMG_20150424_131358_552.jpgIMG_20150424_131332_654.jpgIMG_20150424_131412_509.jpgIMG_20150424_131835_516.jpgIMG_20150424_131657_606.jpg

Wow - that's lookin' sharp! ::thumb::

When I first saw the modern, larger Magnums, I wasn't really much of a fan. These don't look bad at all!

Looks awesome! What brand/model are they and what size wheels /tires

Thanks. They are US Mags Bandits rims, front 18x8, 4.5 back spacing, rear 18x9 5.25 back spacing. Tires are Nitto extreme nt555, frt 245/45/18 and rear 285/40/18.

Thanks, these are the closest I could get to the Magnum 500 look without spending a lot of money. The 18" Magnums I priced were out of my price range.

You gotta keep those on that car. It looks really good
Thanks, I think it gives it a more modern look.

Wheels look great. They are similar to the factory wheels on my 2004 Mach 1!

That's the look I was wanting. Nice Mach!

Ryan, how much space did you end with between the inside of the rear tires and the inner fender/frame area? (rear wheels- 18x9 5.25 back spacing. Tires are Nitto extreme nt555, 285/40/18)

Those look great man. Have you lowered your ride? Or is it Stock height ?

On the front have 1" drop coil springs and on the rear new (in 2000) stock leafs. Ryan.

Without looking I think around 3" or more. I remember after putting them on I thought I could of went with a 10" rim. There was plenty of room still on the inside. If you need me to measure it to get an exact figure let me know. I can measure it tomorrow. Ryan

No way, really!!??!! You can't possibly have 3" of space with your 285/40 tires...the chart says those tires are 11.2" wide, with a 5.25" backspace, I'd guess you'd have somewhere around 1-1/2" of space.

Don't mind me, I'm just trying to figure the room in our wheel wells and that doesn't make sense.:chin:

Like I said, I can't remember on the space, I'll have to measure it. I think Luxstang has a post on here somewhere that may show or explain what your wanting. He is running 18x10 rims on the rear of his conv. Ryan

Looks great!! Is that the original brite red?
Thanks. No it is not bright red. The original color is bright red but I wanted something brighter so I went with Porsche Guards red. Ryan
