interior door liner

What is a good material to replace the tar paper as an interior door liner? Between the interior door panel and the door itself.

The tar paper is a moisture barrier. You can use heavy duty plastic sheeting if you want

I have used 7mil plastic on several cars and it works great with a thin bead of silicon to keep it in place.
