The Oklahoma Mustang Club had a photo shoot before a recent meeting. The goal was to form the initials "OMC" from the cars and take the shot from a firetruck extension ladder. The "O" is a bit out of shape but you get the idea.

For a change a 71-73 seemed to be at the center of attention. If you look closely you will see an original 1966 427 Shelby Cobra and a very nice 1970 Boss 429 in the picture. Chuck

Nice! The Boss was the first one I noticed. Then the flamed one which you don't see often these days.

I suppose the white Mach in the center is yours?

There are several vintage mustangs in the club but the cars for the picture were chosen for the colors, red, white, and blue. Having said that, there are more "late model" mustangs in the club than 65-73s. The sad truth is that fewer and fewer people have the skill or cash reserves to to buy and build a 65-73 Mustang and use it as an occasional driver. Financing for a late model is readily available, requires no skill, and it can be used as primary transportation. The good news is that many of the late model owners want a classic and will someday be in a position to own one. The Mustang love/lust cycle may continue as a result. Chuck
