Alright guys, brand new to this forum. I bought my 72 Mustang late May 2015, so pretty recently. I was so excited for this project as it's my first classic car build. Now I know i'll get some backlash but this is being built to what I like, not restoring. 4 hours into having the car at my house I spent the night sanding the beast down with a good friend. The next day I did some light bondo and body work and put my first and second layers of primer. The third day I was already painting her and finishing with clear coat. I went with Championship White, but when it's time, I'll have her professionally done in a metallic silver. I'm not a professional, so I do make mistakes, this is all a learning process for me, but I do have mechanical experience and good friends. Thanks for any support!

I ripped out all the old interior, the seats and carpet were trashed, the door panels and headliner were destroyed. I dyno-matted the entire interior (floor, roof, trunk). I then sprayed it all with a rubberized epoxy. I redid all the dash lights with blue led lighting and also made custom lenses for the gauge cluster. New bucket seats with G-Force 3in harnesses. Still need to buy carpet, headliner, door panels, and I'll be making a custom rear seat delete with a subwoofer enclosure.

Next I opened up the old heart(engine). I took removed all accessories, water pump, timing cover, cam, intake, carb, ect. Pretty much everything except the block and heads. I installed a new Edelbrock RPM Performer Cam and lifters (7122), Comp Cams Double roller timing set, new gaskets for everything, high flow water pump, and new radiator. I also got a new Edelbrock RPM Performer intake, and Edelbrock Performer 1406 600 CFM Carb. New Edelbrock valve covers, a whole ton of assembly lube, and unfortunately I had to replace the tranny cooler lines because one was completely smashed in. I also didn't think of it at the time, but I should had just bought the stainless steel bolt kit for the car, but oh well. Some other miscellaneous things, but seems to run pretty well now, a good amount of high end power. I know it looks messy in my engine bay, I'll clean it all up eventually, just glad it's running now.

Really impressive what all you've done with the car in such a short amount of time! Where'd you get your seats? Are they comfortable?
