If you like Windows 8.1 there's no reason to upgrade. I like the old Windows UI and not so much the tiles for the touch systems so I upgraded one of my machines with Win 10 to check it out. So far I like Win 10 though it still lacks some of the old features. Also benchmarks show Win 8 faster in some tests that Win 10 but not by much.

Good spot on win10 and that explains a few things.

Long story short, I bought an Android based tablet

and wanted to get NFL Sunday ticket. So I went to

DirecTV and checked how that worked. This was on

my desktop and was told to go to Google's app store

to get the app. Went back to the Android device and

went to Google's store. Did not need to search for the

app, it was the first one that appeared in a list. How

did they know that was the app I was looking for? The

desktop PC running win7 and the Android tablet are not

connected, or are they? The only thing the two have in

common is the router.

I tried Windows 10 on my home machine and it was nice but not all of my software worked right so I had to revert back to good ole windows 7!

I will stick with win7 on my desktop and laptop.

Bought my mechanic a tablet running win8.1 and

during a critical update download he turned the

tablet off! So now the registry is scrambled and

I don't know if I can do a factory reset. Bought

another tablet and requested a win10 upgrade

so we will see. My mechanic is comfortable with

the win8.1 tablet because he has never owned a

computer. Also bought a laptop running win10

due here in a couple weeks so we will see. Tablet

is Toshiba and laptop HP.

I converted a few weeks ago to 10 and had a few issues that required going into the registry to solve. But once I fixed those it seems pretty user friendly and easy to navigate. Of course, I'm always an early adopter :D
