My Car
1973 mustang 351 Cleveland 2v
dash lights, tail lights and headlights pulse with my motor. just replaced my points with pertronix igniter and a flame thrower coil. has a factory tach...any ideas? thanks

Voltage regulator is indicated; possibly a bad ground as well. Check the main battery ground to engine, engine to firewall grounding strap.

Agree with Midlife. I recommend a top quality voltage regulator, not one from a chain parts store. I've had the best luck with the late 70's electronic Ford Motorcraft units.

Spot on with Hemikiller's comments. Unless you've got a concours level show car leave the parts house regulators on the shelf. Use Ford # FOPZ-10316-A or Motorcraft GR-540-B. Some part houses like O'rileys handle some Motorcraft and may stock or can order that part if you don't want to go to a dealer.
