Need Fan assy for 72 Ranchero

Need a radiator fan assembly to fit a Cleveland engined '72 Ranchero.

L.C.Gray, if your 72 Ranchero is a 351C with air, and that's the way it was built, then most of the numbers listed from your report will not work. Only the 429's with AC had a fan clutch. Some of the 250 6cyl ran a 17 1/2" fan and most of the 429/460's ran a 19 or 19 1/2" fan with a clutch. Do not use any of the 7 blade flex fans that still may be out there (429/460 19 & 19 1/2" 7 blade fans were not involved in recall). There was a massive recall because of blade fracturing in mid 72 and again in 77 because people just would not bring their cars in for the replacement fan. Since all the fans have engineering numbers on them, I'll just list them and not the part numbers. These are the most commonly used 5 blade AC fans: DOAE-A, D1AE-CA, D2SE-AA, D3OE-AA, D4OE-AA, D6OE-AA, D7AE-AA, D8OE-AA, D9AE-EA. The easiest to find would probably be the D9AE-EA as it was in use on a lot of later models such as the 79-91 Crown Vic. It was also a service replacement for all the ID #'s I've listed above!
