While not quite impressive as Mexican's trip last October it was still pretty cool to pull off.

1978 miles from Sunday to Friday. Went from coastal Alabama to Huntsville, rode back and forth over the smoky mountains four times using various twisty roads (Cherohala Highway, Dragon, little River, US 441, Blue Ridge Parkway), down to cherokee and Ashville, then up to Johnson City, back down to Parris Island, reversed direction back across Georgia, dipped down to the Florida panhandle and back to Alabama.

It was beautiful weather and is the longest ride I've made, I've never taken a week off just to ride - only weekends so this was an especially cool trip. My buddy rode from west Palm Beach so he clocked 2680 miles on his bike.

Wow Don,

Thanks for sharing. Didn't know you were a bike guy as well. That trip sounds fantastic, and the pics tell a good story too. Very adventurous indeed. I hope you both enjoyed yourselves very much. I'm sure you did. Tell us a little about your bike if you want.

You've been quiet on the Forum these days. Now i know why.:p

Thanks Greg. It's a 2014 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic with a few mods. It's rare for a H-D to remain stock. Mine has Rhinehart Racing 4" pipes, custom LED engine lights, highway pegs and a low 4" smoked windscreen (not installed for the this trip due to cool/cold temps this past week).

There was a photog taking pics of us. I'll post those once I get them.

Cheers Don,

Yeah that's a sweet ride you've got there with some nice mods indeed. She must feel great out on the highways. BTW - Have you checked out the sound systems they're loading in the Harleys these days? I don't ride bikes myself, but am connected and mix with a few Harley riders myself.
