My Car
1972 Mustang Mach 1
My Daughter just bought a real nice triple white 2000 convertible and while I was looking the car over I found only one slight problem, the trunk showed signs of a water leak. It looks like it's coming in from the tail light housing. I tightened up the nuts and cleaned the area good. As of yet no damage has been done from this water but I know from experience that it's only a matter of time. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Not sure this will help you since you think it is around the tail light, but I had a 1998 Mustang GT Convertible and found the water was coming in under the flap where the top window zippered into the top. It was kind of hidden but if you put the top about 1/3 of the way down and look under the flap you could see where the water was getting in. Not the zipper, but a slit just outside of the zipper area.
