1973 Mach 1 with absolutely no part left untouched or replaced
What have others done? Doesn't appear to be an odo friendly lens cluster out there....

 
lot of people with really bad trip lens cut the plastic shaft out of the old one and glued it to the new one.... it isn't a good solution but works.
