1972 sales brochure error

I noticed this back in the mid 70's when I had this brochure on my bedroom wall. I am surprised many still don't know about it.

 

I am sure it has been posted on here but couldn't locate the old thread(s)...

Ray, must've been one of those experimental clutch less transmissions! :whistling: You just never knew what the engineers were up to during some of those locked door, burning the mid night oil sessions. Evidently the catalog people were smoking some of the same thing the assembly line workers were!! Good eye.

Interesting. Never saw that before, Ray. Come to think of it, I don't think I have seen a 72 brochure in person. Probably because I have only had 71s and 73s. Looks like I need to get on the stick and get a 72! :D

They made a second brochure and fixed that mistake. I have both brochures.

As an old guy, I never noticed that when I ordered my 72, but then again I was all caught up in the 70's time frame
