My Car
1971 Mustang Grande
Now i got my car all legal i can start my project. First thing i have done is take off the door panel driver side as it was ready to fall off. I have started to rub down the paintwork with some wire wool to remove some of the grime and the crap respray.

I noticed that when the original primer was applied by ford when manufactured the runs in the primer is quite frequent in many places and the finished coat, Grabber Lime is very thin in comparison to primer. The primer looks more like a brown than a red oxide.

I will post some close-ups tomorrow of the primer with all the runs

I've read, that the new painters were assigned to paint the backside of the body parts. It's not unusual to see heavy runs on the backside.

Are you going to restore it back to the original color, or do something else with it? Grabber Lime is one of my favorites.

Going concourse with it

Here are some close-ups of the quality control on the primer
