Hey I have a couple of project cars he can choose from if he wants to do one or twoGreat - there goes the neighborhood.
Look, as much as I like and admire Chip Foose, he's just another one of those high-end car guys that really doesn't know squat about our cars. I envision this one getting slammed with 20s, a weird paint job that looks great from one angle only (and just weird from the others), and maybe even a Coyote dumped in there ahead of a TKO and 4-link rear-end.
Just from that pic alone, it looks like a fairly decent car to start with - too bad it's going to [most likely] get messed up, noticed, and every Chip Foose wanna-be will be demanding $80,000+ for their "diamond plate interiored monstrosities" as well.
Noted. :whistling:Hey I have a couple of project cars he can choose from if he wants to do one or two
Requirements are a Coyote, 6 speed and anything else he wants to do to it
On second thought if it's his checkbook he can do what he wants lollerz
Ya that's what I thought , he designs & draws a pic of it. Great imagination but I doubt he has to clean his hands with Brillo at the end of the day. Where's the fun in that?I think he is only used for design and photo ops. Like contracting a builder for a house. The sub contractors do all the work.

I see on a regular bases the 64 383 Fury and the 68 C10. I look them over every time and there holding up well. The problem is he has to build the car with what he can get for free. You don't think he pays for any of that stuff. Advertising. I would like to see one of the cars after about a year and see how the skim coat of bondo they slather on looks. I bet the cars are wavy after everything cures out. Anybody can build a modified car but few can do a great restoration.
As long as it is that midlife bank then I'm in.The fun is when you deposit your profit in the bank.Ya that's what I thought , he designs & draws a pic of it. He actually does get in there and do some random things, but he's primarily the creative power, business owner/manager, and the big name reputation provider for the shop/brand that's come from all the past projects and success.Ya that's what I thought , he designs & draws a pic of it. +1 and well said. Plus I tend to like some of his work. Usually very clean lines. I've seen a handful of cars he's done up close and the work is exceptional. Especially the paint and body work.He actually does get in there and do some random things, but he's primarily the creative power, business owner/manager, and the big name reputation provider for the shop/brand that's come from all the past projects and success.Ya that's what I thought , he designs & draws a pic of it. He, like Dave Kindig, Danny Koker, Boyd Coddington, Ring Brothers, etc., started out doing everything on their own, had some success, hired some guys, had more success, reputations were built, businesses expanded, and now they're highly admired and sought-after in the custom car industry.
The biggest difference between Foose and the average guy doing his own projects is scale. We, as DIYers usually don't have the crew, shop, tools, specialists, sponsors, financial liberty, attention, etc., that goes into the projects he turns out. But we also don't have the hassles that come with being a big business with so many microscopes pointed in his direction, either.
Again, I have nothing but respect for Foose and his colleagues - they literally have one of my dream jobs (drawing pictures of cars all day that turn into reality and command hefty prices)... but I'm glad I don't have the headaches and hassles of running a multi-million dollar business as a result - I'd go broke in a hurry because I'd want to keep all the cool cars.
