1973 Mustang Sportsroof. Currently a work in progress!!!
I've pulled the heater box from the 73 and made some major repairs to the case with fiber glass.

What I need now is the some seals and clips to hold it closed.

I checked two places thus far and one give me part numbers that not exist and the other had a Seals Kit but didn't know what as in it.

Both had clip for a 1970 but not for a 73.

Are the clips the same?

I'm hoping that the kit would have at least the two large seal for each end.

Can you still get the sponge type material for the inside?

I'll need the hose for the a/c drip.

Thank

Tim

timsweet,

You call http://www.classicautoair.com/ or http://www.oldairproducts.com/catalog/index.php to locate parts. I know that the clips that hold the box together, are small compared to the Originals.

Ohio Mustang has the foam kit- He may have the box hose to the floor pan also.

Tim,

I do not think anyone has a great seal kit. I got a Daniel Carpenter from Ohio Mustang and the seal for the cowl to heater box is nothing like original. Also the fan to heater box sucks. The seal for the upper center air was no way working and I went to Lowe's and go some foam to close the gaps. I also add the mesh wire to keep the critters out of the heater box between the cowl and heater box. Cannot be seen but keeps the critters out, pic attached.

The hose for the drain is just a short section of I think 5/8" heater hose.

Just think you won't have to look at this for another 30 years.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found some clips at a vendor and they believed they should work. If not I'll go the used route.

Tim, I called and left you a message - how many clips do you need

I send you some used ones.

Email or PM me if you need a drain hose.

They are molded and have a plug / drain trap / bug gard in them

If you just use regular hose it will put pressure on the drain box nipple. Also the fan will draw air in thought the drain, so the condensate water won't drain out until the fan is shut off.
