Don't know if this question has been posted before but what are the most difficult items to get to restore a Sprint coupe?

I believe all the stripes, decals, upholstery and trim bits are done in repo. Things like the blue ring dog dish caps are hard to find in great shape. I sold a set I have for $60.00 to a member last year not perfect but no dents in the face. Could have came with Magnum 500 depends on the trim package. I think you should be able to get everything you need. I would talk to others owners to find which have the best interior bits.

Now if it was a Mexican Sprint then you would be looking a long time for all the right parts.

Show us what you have to work with, pics please.

Agree with David, the things that were unique to the Sprint are pretty much readily available. Upholstery, qtr panel decals, stripes, etc are available from sources that are finally starting to recognize the market for 71-3 parts. The Sprints also had the Mach1 style front bumper and grill. A missing or damaged front bumper could be a problem, along with any missing blue stripe center caps. If the car is equipped with the "B" package which would have included Magnum 500's, then the center caps are a non issue.

If you have recently bought one or looking at one that needs a home, try to post some pictures of it along with the Vin and door label. We have some Sprint experts here that have forgotten more than I'll ever know about these cars, so feel free to ask about anything you may want to find out about these cars.

I would say the seat covers are the hardest thing to find. The make repros but don't have the correct material for the cloth part of the seats. You can get the correct material form SMS fabrics in Oregon and have the seat covers made. That's what I plan on doing. The stripes can be obtained from Phoenix Graphics out of Florida. Everything else you should be able to find.
