Great info.   I'm going to be swapping my FMX out for a T5 and was starting to plan it all out. I know I  need plenty of other stuff but this will save me many headaches later on.

I did the same thing with good results. I went with the cable clutch. The hurdles were getting the right clutch fork and I had to shorten the driveshaft. Everything else was pretty much bolt on. Good luck.

What did you get for a clutch fork?

Do you need one for a 1971 or a late model 5 speed?

Wanted to know what fork Tonyjustin used for the t5 if not the stock t5 fork.

Great info Pat!

I would like to add, I used a 94-95 T-5 with the longer input shaft and a 94-98 V-6 bellhousing. The V-6 bell allows use of the 164 tooth flywheel and 11" clutch. Why, I have no idea! LOL I fabricated the clutch linkage and used a mid 60's GMC pickup release lever. It's been in the car quite a while now and qualifies as the best upgrade I've done to the car.
