What goes here?

I have a place in my 71 right behind the passenger headlight area that has some screw holes like something was mounted here before. But have not been able to find any info on what might have been there. Any help would be appreciated.

possible somebody installed an aftermarket ignition system for a while then removed it.(like msd box)

Good guess or maybe something from an old alarm system or added radiator overflow tank?

I don't think there was anything that got installed in that location from the factory. Most likely like others have suggested something aftermarket or custom accessory.

Its a fairly tight spot, I wouldn't know what to put there to make use of that unused space?
