VIN Plate

The NC DMV questioned the VIN Plate on my dash, because the rivets don't look original. From the limited information I could find, the "F" should've been the Ford script "F", correct? Does it look like what a 1972 should look like?

I removed the fender to show them that the numbers matched, so all is well, and I should receive the title soon.

You got lucky, I don't think that is a real tag - it doesn't look right

Those are defiantly the wrong rivets

That is not original at all. I would always crack the fenders to verify before I would ever buy one.
