i did mine a few months ago.. i didn't know there were bushings or even looked. just thought it was warn out.. made up a sleeve to take the slop out and it's wonderful now. but to your question.. pretty much remove the linkage under car including the light plug and unscrew from floor.. you'll see how it comes apart, there's almost nothing there but a bolt/nut. replace the light bulb before reinstalling (easier when apart).
It's an easy job and so worth it!
