- My Car
- 1973 Mach 1 Q code, a 427 Dart based Windsor, Pro Flo 4, Tremec 5 speed, A/C, 12.7:1 steering conversion, SoT coil over and Dakota Digital dash.
Rather than continue to pile on the below alignment thread I will start anew. I did a bit more on my 73 with the SoT coilover system and landed on the following:
Camber: -0.6 driver -0.5 passenger
Caster : +4.0 driver +3.3 passenger
Toe in : 1/8"
I would like the 3.3 to match the 4.0 but doing so will require shimming. I can adjust the driver side strut rod and bring the 4.0 back to 3.3. Thoughts? How important is it to get the two sides to the same setting?
Second, what is the vertical distance from the top surface of strut rod to the frame on a factory (or modified) car? Mine appears to be 1 1/2" but I did not take a measurement prior to disassembly.
Thanks
