I am planning on buying a March Pulley system and looking at power steering pump options. Will any of these aftermarket pumps work on my 71 or are there different pressures that I need to look at? March sells a sweet billet Saginaw style pump and not sure if it’ll work. Currently have the “corporate” pump on my car.

Thanks in advance guys, any help appreciated.

I run a pulley set up from CVF Racing with the Saginaw (canned ham) pump and could not be happier.

Are you still using the stock steering gear with the Saginaw pump?

I will be going the same route, but I am planing on modifying the stock brackets to fit.

Has anyone used a pump from a fox mustang with success or are the pressures different to where it won't work? I have a complete front accessory set from a fox mustang that thought about using?

The Fox pump I think is of lower pressure, maybe 900 psi instead of 1,200.
