So 7173 enthusiasts ,just brought home an old friend.
a 351 4v that I re did when I worked at my local Ford dealership , this was in the 1990's.
sold this engine to a guy that put into a F150 shortbox and promptly wrecked it after less than 1000 miles.
this truck then sat in a spare garage for years, then got put in the back field.
the owner allowed me to look at it, it still turned over.
I bought the motor for a decent price and brought it home.
I remember using boss fulcrums (DOOZ 6A528-B ) and a crane conversion kit.
they still do look new.
So what are they worth ? , I know they have been obsolete for years.
also have a set of 4v open chamber heads with stainless valves.
I remember also standard bore.
might be up for a 408 stroker if this block checks good.
Stroker would be mild with 4v closed chambers and for pump gas.
looking for some 408 recipies ?
