So I had a brand new front window installed by my glass friend, and it came with a pre-installed

button for the rear view mirror.

It's placement doesn't seem correct at all. It's too low.  It puts the rear view mirror in about the middle of the windshield.

Obviously from the shape of the sun visors, (and my 67 stang)  it should be much higher.

Can someone give me a quick measurement of where the mirror was placed originally?

I would appreciate it.

As you can see from the picture, I measured down from the trim.

 Mine is  7 1/4" down.?

On the OUTSIDE, mine is about 7" from the bottom of the trim to top of the button. How does that button get removed without damaging the glass? Isnt something like twisting it and not pulling it?
