I started removing some more of my interior. At each end of the dash theres a endplate fixed with 2 screws. The end panels fix between the kick panel and windshield trim.

One side is metal and the other side is plastic and stamped "Made in Canada". Is this usual practice?

Yes they all have them...

Now if it said "Made in China" or "Made in Vietnam", then you might have cause for concern. heh
