Mecum Auction Monterey 2018

Anyone following the Mecum Auctions lately? What cars do you wish you had the money to buy?

Of course I always look for Boss 302/351s/429s, 68/69 Shelbys and Machs

But thats a 1 of 20 beauty of a car, and a 1 of 20 price!

I want that engine in my Mustang...lol

LOL, We have a rich kid lives in Brevard NC that his family owned the utilities company there. Back a few years ago he had three Lambos. If you have the money I guess you have to spend on something.

Not impressed by Lambos, now if it were a Ford GT...

I love the Ford GT 2005 but the new one sucks. It looks great as hell but a V6 just isn't the same. Not like I should worry though since I can't even afford an oil change on one

Yeah, the V6, I have mixed feelings about it. The numbers are impressive, 647 horsepower from 3.5 liters (213 cubic inches), which is about 100 horsepower more than the 2006 5.4L (330 cubic inches). They both weigh about the same.

But, there's just something about the pulling power of a V8. My wife has a 2016 Fiat 500XL. It's fairly quick and fun to drive, but I really like the power of my 2010 F150 4x4 with a 5.4L. It pulls really well to 120 mph (the fastest I've tried).

a car like that would make you an instant target. too many bad people around to drive a car like that.

You guys definitely convinced me. I was ready to pull the trigger to buy that Lamborghini, but after reading all the good points here I will save my money.... lollerz
