Hello, my name is Troy, Im from Nampa Idaho.

Im currently restoring my 73 Mach One

Lots of rust.

Originally a 351C Q code but missing the engine. I have a 429/460 Im considering putting in.

I did this swap 20 yrs. Still have car, 71 mach 1. You must use 460 licoln s.i.c. style frame brackets or engine will sit too low. 1970 up 460 429 used taller ,normal length water pump, ealier ones used boss 429/thunderbird short water pump, wont work with newer pulley systems. rubber mounts are same as 390-428 versions. if you reverse mount these side to side you will move motor back around 3/4 inch for weight balance. Use 7 blade 19 inch mech. flex fan with 429c.j. short fan shroud from vendors. Personally, with added weight and limited overdrive trans avail. I would start with a ford racing crate motor and add a 4r70 overdrive, 4.1 gears with 9 inch axle, 31 splines, true trac diff. throw on cvf racing serpentine system, add a.c. and drive the heck out of it. Big block not really worth it unless u go max h.p. drag racing, hard to beat big block torque, bad gas mileage though.
