1971 Mustang fastback. Aborted resto mod attempt. Trying to repair and finish the car.
For you guys that know, are the spindles themselves the same for 6 cylinder and 8 in this era? How about the power steering boxes?

 
Spindles are the same for 6 and 8 on all 71-73s, differentiated only by drum or disc brake.

Steering gear and boxes are the same as well. You have three flavors, manual, power steering and variable ratio power steering. Variable ratio power was part of the competition suspension package.
