Hello from Germany

Hello!

My name is Fred and I'm from Cologne, Germany.

If you carefully read my Username you might guess my age

We have a mustang-forum in Germany where I'm an active user: dr-mustang.com

The user "luxstang" told me about the 7173mustangs-forum - so here I am

My love for mustangs started in 2007 when I bought a 1968 Coupe 289 cui.

After some cosmetic work and Cragars fitted it looked like this:



It was a really nice car but I definetely love convertibles more than hardtops - so I started my search.

Then I found the unrestored 71 Mach1 Convertible with a 351 cui Windsor engin. The guy I bought it from imported it to Germany in 1995 from San Francisco where he had used the car as a daily driver.

It needed a lot of cosmetic work and I added the Mach1-stripes and some minor details to the car. When finished my work it looked like this:



I only use the car on sunny days to get some sun in my face and V8-noise in my ears

Hope to have enough time to be here @7173mustangs frequently!

Welcome to the site and appreciate your informative introduction. Both Mustangs look great. As far as age I'm about 10 years behind you. Glad to hear you "older" folks are still enjoying your Mustangs; gives me something to look forward to.
