Hi everybody,  I am planning to add a chrome bumper to my 71 vert.  I can buy the bumper from Mustangsunlimited , NPd and other vendors.  But they do not carry the bumper brackets.  There are brackets listed on ebay, title say LH, RH inner bracket. I need to know how many brackets I need for the front bumper to install correctly on the car and the hardware , fillers if any etc. from someone who know this subject.  Any / all advice will be much appreciated.  Thanx all in advance.

The chrome bumper fits the stock bumper brackets - which are universal to both the chrome and urethane bumpers.

The only things you'll need to fit the chrome bumper is the bumper itself, the mounting hardware, and a set of the rubber/plastic spacers (to take up the space left unfilled from the urethane bumper).

Notice the gray area between the bumper and the bumper opening in the fender - those are the spacers.

Hope that helps!

The only difference between the urethane and chrome bumpers is the bumper itself. As Mister 4X4 noted, the brackets are the same, as is the reinforcement panel, and most of the hardware. You can get all of the parts from any reputable Mustang vendor, I'd suggest either Don at Ohio Mustang, or NPD.
