1973 Mustang Convertible (Mach I Tribute)
Even though the boot cover is older, it always bothered me that the top hinges always pushed on the boot cover.

So upon another members advice here (rackerm) decided to add the pads using 1" foam.

Here's the before and after. Maybe in the near future I'll buy a new boot cover and do that one so there's no worn marks on it.

New 1" foam pads with adhered cotton covers used to come with the new boot covers. Last boot covers I ordered came with 1/4" foam pieces (useless unless folded over once or twice). As it usually happens, the penny pinching accounting dept must have decided the 1" pieces were not necessary.
