Hi all

Just want to post some info if it helps those who have a nasty cluster lens

I purchased an NOS lens for my 1971 Mach 1 and it got nicked and scuffed when installing the cluster. Probably should have put it in last...

Anyway a plastics guy gave me a sample of Novus1,2&3. I used them as instructed and it took the NOS lens back to brand new... phew.. was I relieved.

Now I’m going to work on the original one now that I have a kit and process. I do have one observation and that is.... the original one has a slight blue tint and the NOS is perfectly clear. Both have the ford logo and part number.... so if anyone knows if there was some sort of difference please let me know

So, I’ll post before and after shot of the original one after I refinish it.

Sounds good. Mine is scratch and smug kind of bad and can't get a replacement due to it has a tach. Any improvement would be great. Can't wait to see the before and after pictures.

Ok done with the polishing

Had to sand with 1200, 1500 and 3000 to get up to the polishing system

The final polishing was done with a black foam pad on low speed on a drill.

See pics and good luck. The novus system is almost fool proof...

Note: the haze around the clock stem is just glare... it polished well considering I had to sand out a divot.
