All,

It is amazing when after 8 years of working the 1973 coupe, some hardware seem to have legs. Case in point is the hardware that bolts the sliding tracks the bottom of the front seat frames. I am fortunate to have a location that has several original 1971-1972 Mach one parts seats to get the hardware. What surprised me was the Torx head bolts. What? Huh? When did Ford start using these?

Since these bolts new are pretty much non-existence, I am going to source some grade 8 that will fit!

What are your opinions?

Hi, they were only torx head in early 71, most are 3/8 hex

They are a bit odd very small head with flange washer to fit in the track

There were very early RED torx then black

Then 3/8 hex head in a short for the fastback and long version for the convertibles with a spacer

Are you missing all 8 ?

A
