The channels on the top of my windshield lack the rivets with which to attach clips for the moldings.

Has anyone figured out how to attached the moldings without the rivets and clips so they won't fly off at 70 miles per hour?

A few of mine were previously replaced with small screws. Same head diameter as the rivets. Probably not possible to put in with the glass in place.

Seemed to have worked ok but a lot of the actual clips had rusted away.

If you don't mind about removing the windshield near future you could also use some spoiler adhesive like used in modern applications, for example Sikaflex 221... That will hold and withstand lots of force! But removing it will perhaps be a whole different story...  :whistling:

If the window is in your limited, blind rivets might be an option
