Well I got my pony painted and finally got it back together . The only thing left to do is put the striping down the side and the back. I'm really happy with how it turned out.20200312-110823.jpg

Congratulations!  Hope you enjoy basking in the glow of your freshly-painted car, which looks great. Very cool color I think.

I'm getting ready to paint my 73 back to the original color of bright green gold metalic and was wondering about the black on the hood, should it be glossy or low gloss?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe,

That is a low gloss finish from the factory.

Alan,

Thank you, yes that is what I ended up going with. Well actually I went with low gloss (egg shell) clear on it.

Mister 4x4,

Thank you, I guess I'm a little old school.

I was blown away when my son in law said would you like some rims for your stang? Told him I will look them over next time Im there.

He has a 71 chevelle that he restored. He had it since he was 16 he is 35 now. The rims came on the chevelle when he bought it. He didnt like the way they looked and bought some of those kindig or something like that rims. I walk over to where there are stacked and they are Crager ss rims" Brand Spankin NEW" and with new tires to boot. Had to order ford lugs and offset washers.

Man Im glad that I like OLD School  :D  I knew I liked that kid for a reason !cragars.jpg

Kevin,

Thank you, yes I'm pretty partial to the color myself. I knew the stripes would make a difference, but the really make the color pop.

71coop,

Thank you, I think the stance on yours is awesome. It has the old school look, which I personally like.
