Trunk seal like this?

Hey folks,

 

Is this how the trunk seal is supposed to be?

I bought a new one but it looks a tad small when placed in the original place...

 

Thoughts?

+1 on Hemi.   See the attached below.  Pay attention where the adhesive goes and where to skip it.  I just replaced mine not that long ago.  You will more than likely have to adjust the trunk latch.  I had to elongate the adjustment holes in mine and it is still a bear to get it to latch.  Will take some time for the new seal to break in.

Here is pic of my original. Also if your new seal does not have small holes in it to let the air out causes the trunk to be difficult to close. If it does not have holes you can use a small diameter leather punch to cut them in. DSC-0954.jpg
