I have new standard door panels that I'm ready to install and wondering if the clips from the old panel are the right ones.

The ones I have are a mixture of red and black, and are made of round metal. I test fitted a couple into the new panels and they are difficult to slide into place. I think I've seen ones that were made of flat metal that would probable slide on easier, also curious about the orientation of the clips. Do they slide into the rounded side of the hole in the panel, or the flattened side?

The round wire forms are the correct ones. Would have to go look but from memory slide them on from inside to outside. Do you not have your old panels? I will go look and see in garage.

Got some pics of a deluxe panel same clips for both. The originals have a little ball of foam rubber to seal up the hole. If you do not have the vapor barriers you need to make some from plastic ones to keep the moisture from warping your new panels.

Thanks for the quick reply.

No I trashed the old panels. I could do the trial and error method with the clips, but thought I'd see if there was a right or wrong way first, I know it's not rocket science, LOL!

If I set the clips in to opening, they fit  in one direction, but turning them 180 degrees they still fit, but the rounded end is at the flat end of the opening...………….

Sent you pics. You might need to spread the clips back out some to get them to hold tight to door.
