hope someone can answer.

I would also be interested in one, if they are any good.

Otherwise, maybe there is someone who knows if there is another make that is good?

A lot of Cougar guys tried them out years ago. They do not have a good reputation, but SD may have fixed the quality issues by now.

Last I knew WCCC refused to carry them anymore. You're better off finding a used Ford truck switch and box.

I came across a NOS intermittent wiper switch awhile back and thought "I may want that one day" so I bought it. What besides the switch do I need?

I have one - and even though I've never driven in the rain, I did test it once installed of course, and each time I take it in for a safety inspection.

Works like a champ!  No issues.

Got mine back in 2013 from NPD: https://www.npdlink.com/product/switch-assy-windshield-wiper-and-washer-intermittent-7/141840/200291

I don't know why everybody hates Scott Drake products. I've never had any issues with the things I've gotten for mine... and trust me, there's not much 'original' left on mine.

On my 66 Mustang, I had 2 speeds: slow and slower.

I have one as well. I drive mine whenever I feel the urge rain hail or shine. Works a treat - one of the best mods you can do I reckon. I'm 6'4 and having to reach forward all the time to turn the wipers on and of in drizzle sucked.

I installed this and love it. You use the original switch and change the speed by turning the switch on in a variable number of turns. I don't use it enough to remember how to make it work without fiddling with it ....... :whistling:

was it a true plug and play?  Did it mount the same as the stock one, with the center screw thru the bezel into the switch?

Yes Sir!  It mounted up exactly as the factory style switch and the factory socket plugs in as normal.  There is an extra ground wire with an 'eyelet' connector, which I believe is there for the potentiometer portion of the switch.

The operation is just like any other intermittent wiper switch: Off, On/intermittent slow-to-quick, medium speed constant, high speed constant - push in to squirt the windshield with washer fluid.

Hope that helps!
