I can add a feature to the post editor that allows you to search and add GIF's to your posts.  This would be similar to Facebook which brings up the question, "Do we want GIF's?"  Personally I think they can be funny and/or show a thought or point with just a couple clicks BUT they can also be annoying when too many people use them to answer posts without taking the time to add quality content.  But it isn't totally up to me since you guys use the forum too!  So, feel free to hit the poll and tell me what you think!

The only issue i would have is if too many people quote the post and include the gif it could drive you crazy.

But I have the same issue with quoted posts and images. Maybe it's just me.

Not a fan of these things. Agree with them getting quoted and making it difficult to read content, especially when you are trying  fix issues and get answers.

Update:

"I thought it was peanut butter" plus I forgot to vote. Guess I am old!

The poll shows GIF’s getting shot down in a blaze of glory.  I’m the single yes vote as of this post.

GIF’s can be fun.  Also it seems like many 20 years olds use them as a communication tool.  I dig them-

Bentworker, I'm the 2nd Yes, so you're not standing alone, now :)

I'm a NO vote. Don't see a need or reason for GIF's. Emoji's are bad enough, but I do use them on occasion.

From a selfish point of view, I'm stuck with satellite internet now. By the time the damn things download, I've moved on.

They could be fun if I could add them to one forum only like maybe Odds & Ends but doesn't look possible.  They would be distracting in the tech forums and general discussion forums for sure!!
