Yep, 2020  release. Don't know if it is new tooling though. Do not recall if AMT or ERTL had one back in the day.

I have a '71 Mach 1 model kit in my stash,...which I've never even opened, don't recall who released it, I've had it for years, but the box shows a '73 front bumper with a '71-'72 grille, so the bumper killed it for me as far as it being a '71 as advertised, and if it doesn't have a '73 grille, well then it's no good as either as far as being a correct kit.

so.......I just went out in the garage and checked......the kit I have IS an amt/ertl kit. I hope the new release has the correct front end parts. Also, the new box art doesn't really show the tire sidewall with any definition, aren't the tires on the real bond car white side-walls?

Yep they were white walls, lol. If memory serves me correct they had three cars. 429 for the main chase scene. A 302 for the jump and I forget what the two wheel car was. Of course you have the ability to flip the car in the alley. Here is the chase scene. Cars is a couple minutes into the post.

I sure am diggin' that brand new shiny red Mustang zipping around Vegas. I've zipped around Vegas in my Mach 1, ( not on two wheels though). Many years ago, I was a singer in a relatively successful group,  and amongst other venues and gigs did a fair amount of Vegas dates. Between my big pompadour hairdo back then, and my Mach 1 ( which was just as visable and well known ), I could just pull up to valet parking at any casino and just leave the keys with them.  The casinos all knew whose car that was, and who drove it. While not nearly as cool as James Bond, here's me then ( on right), and my car...

Interestingly enough, I was just in my local hobby store, a place I frequent browse on any given Saturday, and I just today noticed a new car kit........a Ford police car from the movie Diamonds Are Forever, I think it was a '70 or '71. The company offering this new release must have dusted off an older car kit and attached the movie title to it to increase interest. It might make for an interesting diorama if someone built the police car chasing the Mach 1, with the Mach on two wheels.

I found a link to a local hobby/model store who does resin pieces.  He has '71-'72 grilles/bumpers/headlight kits, along with coupe bodies.  I snagged a couple of '71-'72 front end kits, and will go back for a few more along with a couple of coupe bodies at some point - I'm wanting build a coupe and 'vert so I have one of each to go along with a handful of Mach 1 kits I have to build (at least 3 depicting the various states of mine: factory fresh, how I found it, and how it is now, for starters - I might cut one in half for a 'shop diorama').  The guy makes 'em by order, so it can take a bit of time to get them - he's really nice, though.

I'll update this post later with a link, since I'm here at work now.
