Removed the rods today and couldn’t remove the big bushings in the eyes. I could be destructive as I will replace them, but want to stay civilized till I know how :)

both cups seams to be flanged om the inner tubing... Do they need to be unscrewed somehow? I could rotate them a tad, but looked like a waste of time.

Try this , Insert the strut rod from the front and move the bar back and forth which should help  break the rubber away from the rusted inner sleeve.

Yes they are. Haaaa so these were "locked" in place at the plant. Ok, so will grind that from the back to free the washer from the cylinder/sleeve, push it toward front and rubber should follow after I'll massage it out of the center groove. This is what I thought looking at it, but as there are 2 squarish shapes on the washers, I thought may be there was some more elegant method to get them out...

Thanks for the tips guys. Guess I'll be barbaric then :D
