How do you over come the non bonding of the paint to main body? Most has to be really close to previous or does not bond. Do you sand it?? Need to learn if there is a trick.

 I think I understand your question, 

so, we left the car in primer and have yet to do the final blocking. 
that way any overspray that you see is just going to get blocked off. We are only worried about getting paint in areas where it’s needed but you can’t see when you bolt all the panels on.  When it’s time to paint We will have all the outside areas shown sanded up to 800 and then we will spray base all over it. Well do our best to tape off door and fender gaps to help prevent anything from getting in there. 
 

we may just to be safe lightly scuff the very very edges of panels as well to help have a mechanical bond.

but our goal was to paint the areas that would otherwise be hard to access when it’s all together
