Hi guys, me again with another issue !

I buy my Mustang with an issue that i need to fix now. The bottom of the wiper arm is resting on the windshield and it has all scratch the window.

What can cause this ? Does anybody ever got this issue ? I replace the wiper arm with another used from another car, still same issue.

Thanks !

Did you change the wiper blade or the wiper arm?

The first thing I would do is check the wiper arm from the post to the blade mount.  These things do wear out after 50 years, so look for play in the mechanism, particularly where the arm mounts on the post (the other end from the one in your pictures).  If there is any slop there, the arm can twist and lay down as the wiper arm moves through its arc.  By the way, that scratch looks deep enough that it won't polish out - you may need a new windshield too.
