I wonder where the 2022 power tour route will be.  If it was within a thousand miles of me I would be tempted to go.

It always starts the next year in the city/town that it finished in the year prior.

Haha, I noticed that as well! Love that guy's channel!

The first video I saw was when he picked up the Independence Chevelle a couple years back.  I was instantly hooked.  Dude is a born entertainer.

I never heard of him until this tour.

so today was the last day. It was as hot as promised. Not much went on at the venue. We picked up our Long Hauler plaques and last day give aways. I helped a few people today that broke down in the way. It was a long day. Now i will be doing a track day tomorrow at Blackhawk so I have to empty a lot of junk from my car.

Here is a picture of a 72 Mach 1 that did the tour as well. He is in this site but I cant find his user name. Sorry it is upside down.

Day 4 (St. Louis)

Today was the longest leg. We went through a lot of highway which made the trip quick. We were expecting heat index of 110 today. It got there but in the early afternoon a storm came near by to lower the temps and hide the sun. It definitely helped. Another day of hitting the strip. Din 13.6 again at 106. In this trip i have done 8 passes at very consistent times. All at very hot temps.

We were also spoiled with the Formula Drift guys practicing for their weekend event.

Cool picture at an old bridge:

Great, you saw Derek Bieri and his family in his Cadillac from ViceGripGarage :thumb:

I'll be dipped!

I love his channel and him as a person,  great guy!

And that picture of your car is awesome!!!

As a final report. I did the track day at Blackhawk to cap my HRPT. This is a 2 mile course at the Wisconsin-Illinos boarder. The early morning consisted of two HPDE sessions where we went around the track about 5 times with an instructor.

Then were the timed laps, which we had eight. I only did 4 since I found that my axle breather spit some oil which was very close to the rear driver side disc. I didnt want to push my luck. In any ways, this was a great and overwhelming day. There was a lot going on and a lot to sink in for my first time. The brakes definitely get a work out and now I understand what big and cool brakes are for. Spirited street driving is nothing compared to track driving. You are really hitting the brakes very hard in at least five of the seven turns. You can be doing 100+ on the straight and hitting your brakes very hard to make turn one. It can be real intimidating and very consuming for the brakes. The car definitely got a workout here.

As mach1351c said "Thanks" for taking the time to share your journey with us.  Great to see that you were able to have the opportunity to do all the racing you got to at the various tracks.   I would love to just make a single 1/4 mile run with mine but haven't talked myself into it yet.  Your car is at about the 5 minute mark in the attached video link.  (1) Hot Rod Power Tour - Day 4 - Ford Bronco Stopped Bucking! - Bing video.

Tony, you had like the only 71-73 Mustang at HRPT!

Side note, crazy how many fox bodies there seem to have been.  I guess it's kind of cool those are getting some love as classics now.  But to me those will always be a dime-a-dozen cars.

I think there were five in total. Two from our own members, another green Mach 1 from Wisconsin and a yellow one that I saw in pictures but never in person.

Edit: it definitely was a unique model. Most cars were Chevy, mainly Chevelles and Camaros.

It was great to meet you Tony and I'm sorry I missed Kilgon. With the heat like it was I wanted to limit the amount of time my dad and I spent at the shows. I don't have the great photos or details but it was a great time.
