Drag Racing Job

So my local drag strip just posted on facebook that they are accepting applications for all postions, since the new season is about to start.

So I've decided that I'm going to call them and tell them that I will work for free on weekends, as long as I get free admission on those days (test and tune days).

What do you guys think?

Freaking cool! If you're allowed to take pics while on duty (or off duty) that would be awesome if you posted a few here. Let us know what happens!

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!

This strip is in a complex that also has a dirt oval racetrack, so I will be working at both.

The owner said he might have me be a wrecker driver, which I have no problem with. He also said that he can't let me work for free, so he will have to give me a little cash. Food and drinks are half off for me too. I can't wait, I am very excited about this.

Also, on the way back home I noticed a blue '73 Mach 1, so I am going to print out a card for this site or something and go give it to the owner.

February 18th the first dirt track practice starts.

They pretty much have an event happening at either the oval or strip every weekend all year.

This is like a dream job for me.

I am a wrecker driver so I actually get to watch the races unlike most of the other employees there. I start tomorrow morning! I'll make sure to take a few pics if I can.

Just got home! I had a blast. I had to spend much of the day working the front gate because we were short on people, but I was in the middle of the track in the tow truck at the end. I got a quick video before I went out to the tow truck. Next week is drag racing!!
