We need to find what 'WES-T' means. 3EB is the date code (year, month, week), 2.75 is your ratio, 9 is a nine inch (good!) and 951C is the plant code.

Got it. WES-T1 is a conventional removable carrier axle, I think that
makes it easier to change gears. Also is a 2-pinion setup whatever
that means. Info came from my Ford shop manual volume one pages
15-10-03/15-10-20.

Thanks Mike now to find out what the hell a 2- pinion set up is
I have decided to go with 3.25's be a little better than 2.75's plus with a lot of highway use and cruising i think anything more would hurt meWhat gears are you going to put in it?
Thats what i was thinking as well until i saw that in the chart NL2 - non locking 2 pinion, NL4 - non locking 4 pinion, L - locker from what i gathered the 4 pinion is a heavy duty rear endCheck here

the 2 pin should be a open carrier (not posi) the 4 pin would be posi.
Agreed, I found it, see new thread. That doesn't look like a rear end code. You might want to start your own thread instead of tacking onto the end of a 7 year-old thread.
Thanks.
